Mike Collins

With more than 20 years experience in IT Mike has grown up with the ever-changing technology environment .
Prior to Solve I.T Mike owned another successful Auckland I.T services Company for many years until he was made an offer (to buy the business), which was too good to refuse. Since then he has held Senior I.T. Management positions for 2 other successful companies in different industries. His skills extend from handling all manner of computer and I.T. related issues through to I.T. Project Management and providing Strategic advice on I.T. options that will align with a business’s Strategic Business goals. And of course, having owned 2 successful, businesses previously he talks the language of a business person and knows how to use I.T to make a business run better and achieve more.

In 2005, after specialising in I.T. services for so long Mike formed a new IT Services Company called Solve I.T. (pronounced "Solve eye tea") which he created to provide specialist  I.T. services for small, medium and large sized Auckland business with 1 to 80 plus, computer workstations. He also had a desire to take the business on to become successful nationally, before too long. 

His firm intention was to build Solve I.T.into a highly regarded I.T. Services business and he knew that the only sure-fire way to make that dream a reality was by delivering consistently superior service to all clients. He also recognised that this would require good business systems and top people, if it were to be achieved.

Business was going well and it wasn't too long before Mike had successfully recruited his next Solve I.T. engineer as a franchised Solve I.T. business owner. Aaron had been one of Mike's top IT guys 5 years earlier in a previous IT company Mike had owned.

The business was certainly growing and overall was going very well with many of Mike's previous client's calling on him and a strong network of other specialist IT Contractors frequently teaming up with Solve I.T to complete projects. Nevertheless Mike was frustrated. He just wasn't managing to find enough time to work ON the business systems and he really wanted to develop and grow the Company further.
